Dear friends,
The San Diego CBC today yielded about 216 species--which could well go up, as the reports from the various areas begin to trickle in.
Highlights include the Ancient Murrelet, Least Flycatcher, Varied Thrush, Grace's Warbler, and Black-throated Green Warbler.
If you haven't yet sent in your results, you can send a link to your eBird trip report or attach your forms for the day to a message sent to <cbc...> That way the whole organizing committee, including me, will receive them, and we will be that much faster to being able to circulate the final results. So the sooner the better! I won't say what our worst miss was until we receive all the results.
Fog in the early morning inhibited visibility, and the tide schedule was not ideal, but we had a terrific level of participation--might be close to 200 participants.
Thanks much, and stay tuned,
Philip UnittSan Diego
