It’s that time again! Every other year we host a birding challenge with fun prizes and an award ceremony at the end of the year.
The 2026 Utah challenge is going to be a county challenge, but with a TWIST!
You will need to see 26 bird species in all of the counties that correspond with the letters “UCBIRDERS.” Complete all 9 letters (18 counties) for gold, 7 letters (you pick which 7 and that will determine # of counties) for silver, and 5 letters for bronze. You can use the attached tracking sheet to keep track of the species you see, and color in theletters as you complete them. Scan the QR code on the tracking sheet with the camera on your smart phone and it will link you to an online tracking page where you can keep track of your challenge completion and see how you’re stacking up to other participants!
