I'm still finalizing but thought I'd share our interesting birds. The count was Sunday Dec 14 and it was extremely windy and cold. The lake had open water but it was all frozen for count day. Best bird was a great blue heron at a spring on Firesteel Creek. It is new to the count. The days before the count we had cormants which are new to the count. Had common merganser, mallards, goldeneye, canada geese before the count day when water was open on the lake.
