We all thought this bird had probably lived out its life span when it did not return to Crest Drive for its 8th winter (many of us have been looking since early November). But it showed it face to Char Glacy and I today on the RSFCBC, in a small pine near the corner of Crest Dr and Torrey Rd about 0845 am today, before flying off in a WSW direction and disappearing. It may have left its usual haunts after extensive pruning of its favorite pines, and now spends most of the time elsewhere, maybe southwest of its usual location.
