Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Blue-headed Vireo and Swainson's Thrush continue
The Blue-headed vireo at Eternal Hills Cemetery in Oceanside continues Friday morning, since being found on the Oceanside CBC back on the 14th of December. It was just slightly north of where it had been initially. The previous reports were largely from the Peacehaven section and immediately around the little rose garden also referred to as the Memory Garden, all of which are just inside the entrance. Today, the bird was in trees slightly to the north of the Rose garden/ Memory garden at around 7:50 a.m. By the way, the cemetery does not officially open until 8:00 a.m.,but today they opened the front gate at 7:30.

Also, present this morning is the continuing casual-in-winter Swainson's Thrush at Encinitas Community Park, which hopefully will still be alive and well at dawn tomorrow morning when I check on it for the Rancho Santa Fe CBC. Exact directions, for anyone interested, will be given after the count.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
