Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Golden-crowned Sparrow
Still waiting on confirmation on Ebird, but I think myself and Joann got an immature or female Golden-crowned Sparrow at Tijuana Butterfy Garden. Merlin confirmed, field marks look good for it, but I'm no expert.

It was near the trail that runs along the river. Follow past the last water feature and pomegranate tree, that will be on your left.

About 50 yards is an information sign. It was in the grassy area in front of the sign.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
