Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Winter Wren playback
A message to the masses suggesting that because playing recordings at the wren is only going to work so many times, that people try to practice self-restraint and only do it when there are groups assembled and everybody is ready to respond. Rather than having every individual who shows up at the site play their own recordings at it. In that situation, things will probably not work anymore in all likelihood Sooner rather than later. So a suggestion would be that after this afternoon's success to let it be For the rest of today, and then do it again early tomorrow morning when the next assembled group of appreciable size presumably will be there.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
