Distant views. Golden eye with distinct yellow bill, brown head, yellow eyes. Actively feeding with the common goldeneyes and harassed by a Western Gull stealing their food. 35.18093° N, 120.73695° W"

Received the notification while viewing a smaller group of COGO on the pedestrian bridge over the creek. Last winter we had possibly this same female hanging out closer to the creek mouth, which is where I found her today. Her orange bill stands out when scanning through the flock. Photos"

Same as a few days ago when I got pics. Flying south. Small football flew past my lens while scoping for Arctic Loon. Rapid wingbeats. All-dark wings, white underside, dark pointy tail, dark partial collar. Dark smudges around eye. Dark back. Short bill. No pic. Lost sight in the big swells."
