I agree that the Arkansas Audubon Society’s name should remain unchanged. Audubon Arkansas changing its name to Audubon Delta seems to have fix any confusion issues. AAS also predates the other birding organizations in the state. A name change for an organization is a big change. All of the good will built up through the years for the organization, the Trust, and the ecology camp largely goes out the door when their name changes. It’s a lot of work to remind everyone that your organization is the same one they used to love when you have a different name. I mean I’m sure Taylor Swift could manage, and yet I still doubt Taylor Kelce concerts are a thing anytime soon.
