Flushed by walkers before I could obtain photos."

Tennessee Warbler (Leiothlypis peregrina) (1) CONFIRMED
- Reported Dec 14, 2025 11:30 by Kevin Zimmer
- Morro Bay SP--Campground, San Luis Obispo, California

- Media: 4 Photos
- Comments: "Continuing individual, first reported and documented photographically by me at this same location on 11/3, and subsequently seen and photographed by other observers. Nectaring in bottlebrush near ranger residence and plant propagation garden, until chased away by larger Yellow-rumped Warbler. Similar to nearby Orange-crowned Warbler, but brighter green above, and brighter pale yellow on the throat and chest, lacking any obvious flammulation across the chest, and, with a more distinct supercilium and narrow dark line through the eye, and with a distinctly whitish lower belly, vent and undertail-coverts. Compared to Orange-crowned Warbler, the tail was relatively short, and the white undertail-coverts extended closer to the tail tip. Bill was thin and sharply pointed. No obvious wingbars, streakiness to the chest, and lacked the yellow crescents above and below the eye seen in Orange-crowned Warblers. I managed a few head & breast only shots before the bird was driven off by the Yellow-rumped Warbler."
