Subject: [sbcobirding] Modoc Open Space, Laguna Blanca
Late this afternoon I walked the Modoc Open Space. There are lots of
blooming eucs, and this has been a good place for orioles in past years,
but no dice today.

I looked over Laguna Blanca in the last light, binoculars only. There are
lots of ducks here, especially Bufflehead. Highlights: a female Common
Goldeneye and 7 female Common Mergansers. After I'd been watching them for
about 10 minutes, the mergansers flew off to the north.
