- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.736674&<ll...>,-119.736674 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S288150839 - Comments: "On highest branch of young ginkgo. Flickering tail, typical flat head, buff and yellow breast. Recorded on Merlin. There was a black Phoebe nearby and this bird was quite different with its very pale belly and browny grey coloring"
Grace's Warbler (Setophaga graciae) (1)
- Reported Dec 12, 2025 07:41 by John Callender
- Santa Monica Creek, Santa Barbara, California
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&<q...>,-119.5278168&<ll...>,-119.5278168 - Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S288268067 - Comments: "Seen well through binoculars at 20 foot distance. Olive back, wing bars, some minimal dark streaking on the sides, bright yellow throat extending down to the upper breast with a pale belly below, bold yellow eyebrow from just behind the eye extending onto the forehead, yellow under-eye arc, and some slight black edging to the yellow throat. Seen well in the cape honeysuckle hedge near (34.406702,-119.527932). No camera with me, unfortunately. Distinguished from Yellow-throated Warbler by the olive, rather than black, auriculars and the lack of white on the head."
