Good Evening Birders,
While birding Pillar Point Bluffs shortly before sunset this afternoon I heard the high pitched calls of geese, I was thinking either Cackling or Greater White-fronted and once I located them (flying northbound at the edge of the ocean) it was a big flock of mostly Greater White-fronted (57). I then noticed trailing shortly behind them a small flock of Snow Geese (5)! I set about getting some mediocre photos because I wanted to get an exact count. Later when going through the photos for a count, I discovered there were Cackling Geese (3) in the mix as well. Pretty cool flock!
