Greg and I worked on a Winter Bird Atlas hour walk for a Priority block of his, Butler Knob SE. I dropped him off at the junction of 522 and Aughwick Creek Rd where he would cross Runk Bridge and walk for an hour.
I headed down the road and birded on Spidertown, Colgate, and the other end of Aughwick Rd. The first two roads circle the Agape grounds.
I had more roads that I wanted to hit but was so distracted by all of the birds that I had to head back to pick him up before I knew it! These roads had lots of bittersweet berries, no doubt the invasive kind, and birds were very busy! The 4 Mockingbirds that I saw included two that were dueling. One of the Pileated shrieked at me for a long time when I stopped at a quiet area, evidently I disturbed it! Always happy to hear the "mews" of Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers. I wanted to hear a Hermit Thrush and Winter Wren but struck out on those but Greg picked up a HETH beside the creek. Junco and White-throat count probably low. Greg also had the Bald Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk, Belted Kingfisher, American Kestrel and Swamp Sparrow. His walk had borders of a field on one side and the creek on the other.

Also, saw a photographer waiting on Aughwick Creek Rd near 522, probably waiting for the Santa Train excursion from Broad Top Railroad station in Rockhill.
Our house is in a priority block and I hope to do that one tomorrow.
