Subject: Flicker Visit
Just had a Northern Flicker on my suet cage this morning. Usually only spot them once in a while in the summer and never before in winter. Temps are dipping very low today so hopefully it's just passing through on the way south.

That makes every local woodpecker species except red-headed to visit our suet cakes and logs over the years. Pileated, red-bellied, hairy & downy woodpeckers are all regulars but we haven't seen any yellow-bellied sapsuckers for a long time.
