Subject: [sbcobirding] Swamp Sparrow at Andrée Clark Bird Refuge
This was the only contribution of significance to the 3 January Christmas
Bird Count I was able to find today. It was at the west-most of the three
viewing platforms on the north side of the lagoon.

The beautiful, messy willow woodland at the far east end has been 'cleaned
up'. I was unable to locate the Northern Waterthrush or the Yellow Warbler,
both of which have been seen here this fall.

It seems we have several spots this year that are supporting 2 Tropical
Kingbirds. I may have seen 3 today at the bird refuge. Details are in my
checklist.

Meanwhile, we are detecting Tropical Kingbirds at more locations as the
years pass. See this <https://flic.kr/p/2rJGjdx>.

Are we getting better at finding them or are more Tropical Kingbirds
finding Santa Barbara County?
