Weather:
Northwest winds strongest in the morning hours, tapering off into the
afternoon, High in upper 30s F, Cloudy early with sunshine breaking through
late in the morning

Raptor Observations:
With the northwest winds strongest during the morning hours, most of the
raptor movement passed along the ridge during this time as well. Momentum
remained relatively slow all morning, with Bald Eagles and Red-tailed Hawks
steadily trickling through. Several Red-shouldered Hawks were spotted at
incredibly high altitudes, cutting south out over the valley.

Late in the morning, an adult Golden Eagle rose up along the north side of
the ridge, finding lift easily, before tucking into a long glide out of
view.

By afternoon, the winds and raptor movement had both diminished. No migrant
raptors were seen following the minutes before the start of the 2 PM hour
until the end of the count
