Mason Park's lake doesn't look like the place that American White Pelican would forage for fish prey. But forage they do. This month usually two flew in most days. I've been asked what they are feeding on, and the answer is mainly Mosquitofish, contrary to AI saying Pelicans don't eat that species in large amounts. Using high resolution photography, I photographed the open bill of swallowing Pelicans to reach my conclusion. If you want to see those photographs, and a discussion (and videos) of their different foraging methods, and more Pelican information see the YouTube I put online just now: https://youtu.be/h6Z0Q4Ylokc Joel Weintraub
