Total observation time: 8.25 hours

Official Counter: Ed Sinkler

Observers: Joe Farkas, John Good, Linda Blacketter, Rick Morrissey

Even with the cold temperatures and overcast skies, 68 people and six dogs
stopped by the south lookout during the day. Many were families with small
children that were excited about the view.

Additional Observers: Sara Purifoy, Brian McNulty, Hassan Alhamami and Ron
Kline.

Linda and Sara were diligent observers that spotted the first raven of the
day and the Red-Shouldered Hawk.

Rick began the count at 7:45 and began to leave at 12:00 to prepare to see
Donna the Buffalo. Ron Kline made a late day appearance to see Rick on his
last Sunday of the season. Ed completed the count from Noon until 16:00.

Weather:
Cloud cover was near 100% during the count with the exception of short
periods during the 11-12 hour and the final hour. Temperatures were 33-42
degrees. Winds moved from the SW to the W and then settled into WNW ranging
from 1-2 mph to 5-7 mph and gusts to 15 in the late afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
First bird of the day was a Red-shouldered Hawk at 10:15 and a late
unidentified raptor, which entered the treeline before being identified.

Non-raptor Observations:
There were eight Common Ravens counted throughout the day and a nice
flyover of a Pileated Woodpecker.

Predictions:
Sunny, with a high near 51. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
