Looking at a candidate for Vega Gull currently sitting on a wooden structure at the east end of A1. Adult herring-like gull but the eye is dark and the mantle is too dark. Primaries are black underneath with a medium sized mirror on the outermost primary. Medium pink legs, bill yellowish with a red gonys spot extending onto the upper mandible. Bird is too far to see orbital ring, probably can’t clinch ID without open wing shots. Unfortunately I don’t have my digiscope adapter so I can’t get those.
