A continuing PACIFIC GOLDEN-PLOVER was near the Ballona Creek mouth in Playa del Rey through November 17. Check for it upstream from the Pacific Ave. bridge and by the UCLA boat ramp.
A RED PHALAROPE was along the lower Los Angeles River at Willow Street on November 18.
A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL continued at the San Gabriel Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds in Pico Rivera through November 17. An AMERICAN BITTERN was here on November 16-20 and a WESTERN CATTLE-EGRET was present from November 16-21.
WHITE-HEADED WOODPECKERS were in Llano on November 16 and at the Valyermo Post Office on November 17.
The DUSKY-CAPPED FLYCATCHER at Vincent Lugo Park in San Gabriel was reported through November 21. It typically frequents the southeast area of the park.
A TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued at the San Gabriel Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds in Pico Rivera through November 21 (often on the east side, adjacent Mines Ave).
Another TROPICAL KINGBIRD continued at Colorado Lagoon in Long Beach through November 16.
The THICK-BILLED KINGBIRD in Griffith Park continued through November 18. Google Maps 34.1392, -118.2881
A WESTERN WARBLING-VIREO was at the Long Beach Health Center on November 19.
A DARK-EYED “GRAY-HEADED” JUNCO continued at Hahamongna Watershed Park in Pasadena through November 16 north of the sports field on the lower west side.
A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was at Peck Road Water Conservation Park in Arcadia on November 20 north of the parking area.
A GREEN-TAILED TOWHEE continued at the West San Gabriel River Parkway Nature Trail in Lakewood (south of Monte Verde Park by the gazebo) through November 21. A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was present here through November 16 and a NASHVILLE WARBLER was found on November 17.
A HOODED ORIOLE was at the Huntington Gardens in San Marino (near the entrance) from November 13-16.
A BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica from November 16-18.
A NASHVILLE WARBLER was at Neff Park in La Mirada on November 19.
The CAPE MAY WARBLER at Loyola Marymount University in Westchester continued through November 16 here- 33.9688, -118.4168
A BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was at Whaley Park in Long Beach (south of Atherton along the fence line) on November 18.
PALM WARBLERS were at the San Gabriel Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds on November 18 on the west side just south of Mines Ave. and at Belvedere Park in East Los Angeles from November 20-21.
The BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER continued at the William Andrews Clark Library in Los Angeles (restricted hours) through November 20.
A PAINTED REDSTART was at Chavez Ravine in Elysian Park from November 19-22. Google Maps 34.0844, -118.2460
SUMMER TANAGERS were at the South Coast Botanic Garden from November 18-19 and at Bixby Park in Long Beach on November 21.
A SCARLET TANAGER was at Lingberg Park in Culver City from November 17-22. Google Maps 34.001, -118.3991
