The Eastern Phoebe first reported on 11/19 was still present yesterday (11/21). No reports today, but also no checklists submitted from Twin Peaks. Looking back at past years, Eastern Phoebes that weren't "one-day wonders" have tended to stick around so it is worth checking for this bird in upcoming days. Perhaps it will continue to the CBC.
This morning while doing a pre-work skywatch for migrants on Corona Hill a Lawrence's Goldfinch was the flyover highlight.
The _sordida_ subspecies (Channel Island) Orange-crowned Warbler first noted on Corona Hill in late October was still around as late as 11/18. In addition I have been noting more "Gray-headed" (celata/orestera ssp.) Orange-crowns in recent weeks than the typically more common "Pacific" (lutescens). One was behind UCSF in the restoration area on Medical Way 11/16 during a Mount Sutro OSP survey. On the morning of 11/18 there was one at Sunset Reservoir and another at Gamble Memorial Park in the Haight. On 11/19 another Gray-headed type was on Twin Peaks and (2) were foraging together in a mixed flock at the Roosevelt Street entrance to Corona Heights Park.
On 11/16 an Acorn Woodpecker at the summit of Mount Sutro was unexpected at that location.
Yesterday evening , right around sunset I tallied crows flying east by Corona Hill to their night roost. In approximately 8-10 minutes (1440) American Crows flew by looking south in the direction of Dolores Park. There were additional crows flying north of the hill as well but I only counted around 50 in that direction as I was focused on the south side.
