Hi everyone,
Here is updated information about the SBVAS birding trip to the San Jacinto Wildlife Area and surrounding areas on Sunday, November 23. The field trip is still on, and the day should be lovely. BUT, there will be mud and most likely restricted access to the usual areas. So, we will have to get creative. To that end, we will meet at 7:00 AM on Davis Rd on the paved section at the Ag fields. From there we can discuss options, and bird the adjacent fields. As of this morning the staff at the SJWA has not yet responded with any certainty about whether they will open the interior roads on Sunday. SO be prepared to check out some other areas, upper Davis Rd, maybe visit Lake Perris ,Bernasconi Beach and the dam, dairies, coastal sage scrub. Who knows we may turn up something quite unexpected!! So if you can bring a scope to this one, and dressfor a pleasant day with MUD in some areas. The SBVAS Field Trip web page (SBVAS.net) now has the updated information with my cell phone number.
