Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Red-Necked Grebe back at NBPL Sub Base
Good morning, while scouting for the CBC this morning, Tera and I just had
the possibly returning (after skipping a year!) Red-Necked Grebe in the
deperming basin on the Sub Base, approximately here: 32.694037,-117.239008.
Military ID required for access to the base.
Definitely be on the lookout at the South end of Shelter Island and by the
refueling pier, as it spent time there as well.

Happy Birding,
Mike and Tera

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
