Weather: Light west/southwest wind during the morning was almost non-existent at times, Sun with cloudy sky to begin the morning shifted to overcast as a system of precipitation moved in slowly from the west, Light precipitation during the final minutes of the count
Raptor Observations: Raptor movement was slow overall, despite a brief burst during the late morning before the noon hour. By 10, individual Red-tailed Hawks began to appear up the ridge while passing on long flap-assisted glides down the south side or directly overhead. Some birds passed in small groups of two or three, with 20 Red-tails passing just the one-hour leading up to noon.
In the final minutes before noon, an adult Golden Eagles appeared on a long glide up the ridge and continued to pass slowly on a low sweep over the trees while crossing over to the south side of the ridge before disappearing southward
The afternoon hours saw almost no raptor movement until precipitation arrived and ended the count, aside from a few incredibly distant speck Sharp-shinned Hawks that were pushing steadily high over the valley below

Non-raptor Observations: Tufted Titmouse 3, White-breasted Nuthatch 2, Eastern Bluebird 4, American Robin 6, Purple Finch 14, American Goldfinch 13, Dark-eyed Junco 2, Song Sparrow 1
