Subject: [sbcobirding] Ocean Park birds
All,

I headed up to Ocean Park this afternoon to see if the storm had brought in much. The berm is still intact but the water has risen 3-4 inches and you have to walk into the park now as the gate is closed.

I found 6 Red and 3 Red-necked Phalaropes. An Avocet was new in, as possibly was a WF Ibis. The gull flock included 7 Herring and 4 GW Gulls and there were 14 Bonaparte's Gulls scattered around the river. Duck numbers and diversity were not exceptional but I did get a record count of 930 American Coots!

Regards,
