Observers:

Visitors:
12. Thanks for stopping in and chatting about hawks, and the Harris Center!

Weather:
In the 20's (F) with stiff winds starting from the WNW and shifting to W by
the 11 o'clock hour. Patchy clouds, and a few snowflakes here and there.

Raptor Observations:
Nice to see a little movement during my last day hawkwatching this year. A
handful of red-tails, a red-shouldered, a sharpie, and a couple Bald Eagles
were a nice bow to put on the end of the season.

Non-raptor Observations:
Finally caught up with an Evening Grosbeak up here, which was calling
emphatically as I went to check the temperature at the 11 o'clock hour,
landed in a spruce near the mountain ash, then flew off, never to be seen
again. The usual juncos, White-throated Sparrows, chickadees and rabbits
were around and fueling up on bird seed.

Besides raptors, a two flocks of Common Mergansers were observed, and four
flocks of geese, numbering about 120 in total.

Predictions:
Steady winds (but not as strong) coming from the northwest and a little
warmer. Some stuff should be on the move!
