Subject: [hmbirds] Greater white-fronted goose and a snow goose-Canada hybrid in Hudson Crossing Park
Both observed yesterday later in the afternoon swimming with 100s of Canadas in the canal north of the entrance to the park. The hybrid either flew away to roost with most of the geese on my walk back to the car, or was hiding in the part of the canal that is sheltered by the vegetation. The white-fronted was relocated essentially in the same spot on the return, so I would guess it is still there. Best views were from the trail that runs towards the dam. No signs from the snow goose that has been seen there for months, but it is most likely just my "luck."
