Subject: Sunday at Hi Lonesome
It was another gorgeous day at Hi Lonesome, however most of
the birds have gone to their wintering grounds, I believe.
There were 5 American Crows flying away as I approached Hi Lonesome, but
they were not on the prairie.

I drove quite awhile before I saw my first bird: A Savannah Sparrow.
A little further, and another fence-sitting Savannah Sparrow.

But the best was a Loggerhead Shrike at the junction of Hi Lonesome and
Klink. An Eastern Meadowlark got up near the same place as the shrike.
And that was it!!

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
