It's nice to know I am not the only one who starts the day with classical music! Originally, I was going to suggest Rachmaninoff's Isle of the Dead, which is based on Arnold Backlin's painting, but I thought it was a bit too long and morose, just like going out the islands on a gray day.

Classical music lovers among us had a fun surprise this morning - KDFC’s “Morning Shout-out” was from Alan (presumably Hopkins) to Alvaro, Michael and the Salty Lady for good trips to the Farallones. Always nice to hear Hebrides Overture/Fingal’s Cave, but even better with this dedication.
