- Comments: "Seen from creek mouth with coots. More slender build than AMCO and distinct bobbing motion while swimming. Very dark slaty gray overall with obvious bright red shield and bill with yellow tip, dark brown back, white striped flanks, and mostly white undertail coverts with dark stripe."
