Raptor Observations: A pretty average flight for our site.
Our local Merlin was once again seen chasing one of our local Cooper's Hawks. This time it occurred at eye level within 15-20 feet of the counter.
Non-raptor Observations: Common Raven:1 Double-crested Cormorant Canada Goose; 2 flocks totaling 215 birds. One Cackling Goose was spotted. The flock of Fish Crows is getting bigger. Today 215 were counted.
Predictions: A storm developing over the Tennessee Valley will pass over tomorrow and a washout looks likely Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 64. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
