Sorry for the delayed posting. Yesterday (10 Nov), presumably the same *black-and-white warbler* reported on 11/4 continued in a large willow along the SE portion of the loop trail at the San Elijo Lagoon nature center site (male seen around 10:35 am, but not refound on looking about 15 min later). Earlier, the continuing pale juv *reddish egret* was foraging SW of the I-5 bridge, then along the channel SW of Ocean Cove/Manchester Ave, then flying to the south (others also reported it elsewhere in the lagoon including west of the RR tracks). A male *Wilson's warbler* was seen in a closed portion of the Reserve along Escondido Cr, and five *acorn woodpeckers* were seen together (and heard) on the private property of the Country Day School. One white pelican was seen east of I-5, then later three were west of I-5.
Jorge Valdivieso and Anita Hayworth also reported the continuing male *Eurasian wigeon* from the overlook NNW of Sta Carina (reported previously on 11/2).
(A midday search for the San Dieguito/Surf sports park white-throated sparrow was unsuccessful, with most of the sparrows staying hunkered in the shade of golden-bush and scrub thicket).
