Big shout-out Thank You to those who showed up yesterday at Reist to clean up the are around the Kiosk.
Seven of us met at 11 am in the parking lot at Kelly Center. Armed with loppers, pick axes, shovels, and rakes, we cleared out a large area of ridiculously tangled bramble of Knottweed, Bittersweet, and Grape. In 3:30 hrs of work, including bagging and staging in the parking lot for removal by Unions ground crew, the kiosk and trail head is now visible and useable.
Special thanks to our new Reist Committee chairman, John Gansfuss, for organizing the day and to Marge Amodeo and Union for supplying the tools, trash bags, and disposal.
