Last weekend I forwarded a message about the CA Breeding Bird Atlas project webinar that was taking place this week presented by [LA Birders](https://www.labirders.org/). Here is a link to the recorded YouTube presentation that took place on Tuesday evening:
This project begins in 2026 (January 1, 2026 at midnight!). The webinar goes into detail about the atlas project and how you can use every day checklists through a dedicated eBird CA BBA web portal to contribute breeding bird data to the project. There will be more information to come about how to properly code checklist entries, but the webinar is a great introduction to the project and some longer term goals after collecting all the data. If you want something birdy to work on beginning in 2026 and for the next few years you might find this highly enjoyable.
