Hello BR Audubon members and friends!
With the upcoming holidays, Baton Rouge Audubon's monthly program has been moved up to November 12. It will be in room 102 at the Main Goodwood library in Baton Rouge. Social hour is 6:30 to 7 with refreshments and the program will start at 7pm.
Our Peveto Woods sanctuary is a jewel of a birding spot in southwest Louisiana. It's been visited by millions of birds and thousands of birders over the years. Dave Patton was the manager of Peveto Woods for a number of years and he put together a wonderful slide show for our 50th anniversary celebration last year. He will be presenting this slide show at this program. It features historical information as well as some awesome trail cam images and videos from the site.
As always, we will store a recording of the Zoom presentation to the BRAS YouTube channel.
Hope to see you there!

P.S. Save the Date: December 10 at Hilltop Arboretum will be our annual holiday potluck dinner. This year's gathering will have a Down Under theme as Katherine Gividen and I will present an account of our birding trip to Australia in fall of 2023. We'll also feature Australian goodies for you to try. Vegemite, anyone?
