On one of the days before the first big storm we just had, here is a list identified on Merlin as birds in my back yard. I live in Little Pocket (Sacramento, west of I-5) and have no trees in my backyard. The finches are regulars at my feeder, as is the Jay (a family) and morning doves(Also a family), and once in awhile, the bushtit. I've seen the Black Phoebe, and the crows, and I saw the White-Crowned Sparrow under some bushes. I have a lot of Anna's and the Spotted Towhee has been in my yard all year. But, gosh, I'd pay good money to go on a tour to see the rest of these birds and here they are, right around me- I just can't see them! Frustrating!
