All,
Today 11/6/25, I saw a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE in Henry Coe State Park, north of the Monument. It was along Hobb's Road a bit less than halfway from the junction with the Monument Peak Trail and Frog Lake at about 37.197437, -121.544113. The bird was seen perched near the top a tree from 10:47am to 10:51am. It was hanging out near a flock of robins, waxwings, bluebirds, and a Hermit Thrush. Other birds of note included two GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS along the Ponderosa Trail west of Eric's Bench and well over 150 BAND-TAILED PIGEONS (many eating Madrone berries). Parking costs $8 ($7 if 62+ years old).
Photos of the solitaire will be added to an eBird list.
