This morning a very late Swainson's Thrush was in the Arboretum. There are a fair number of November NFC records from the city, but only one later than this date (11/18/2022, H. Cotter NFC Station) and very few of migrants on the ground: the only other on-the-ground November record in eBird is from 11/11/1976 (Mac McCormick). There is also a December record (12/1–12/19/2021, N. Arthur and others) from Yerba Buena Island and another, relating to an injured bird, from GGP (12/27–12/28/2015, A. Hopkins and others).
Later in the morning, after deciding not to bird the Zoo because of the throngs of people there enjoying the Veterans' Day school holiday, I covered the SFSU campus and south Lake Merced. An adult male Bullock's Oriole was in the Bee Garden area at SFSU.
