- Comments: "This is a bird that has returned for its 13th winter. What is presumed to be the same individual was first seen on the SBCBC in January, 2014. I put the bird's photo on the "What's This Bird" Facebook page recently to get an eastern perspective because Warbling Vireo was recently split into two species. It was identified, as was expected, as a Western Warbling Vireo, largely because of the small bill and dark crown."

- Comments: "Assumed to be returning for his third year at this spot. Bright red tanager with smaller gray beak and slight gray area on cheek. Spent most of its time high in blue gum eucalyptus but it came down to drink from the creek puddle. We observed it catching insects and eating toyon berries. Lifer for a few of my students! Photos soon."
