Yesterday around 5:00 pm Rich and I saw a white crane fly into the property next to the Black Hole (across from the wetland). It was visibly smaller than the surrounding Sandhill cranes, coloring was white with some faint rust coloring on the head and body, and dark eyes. Not sure if it a leucistic, small, sandhill crane or a vagrant of some kind. I emailed photos to Gary Ivey as suggested by David Yee and am waiting to hear if it is a known bird in the area and if so, what it is.
