Subject: [SanDiegoRegionBirding] Short-eared Owl at TJ Slough NWR
Two harriers just kicked up a Shortie in the marsh grass, looking south from here: 32.5747754, -117.1272136
It bobbed it's way further south and I can't see it right now, but there's a lot of Harrier activity still so I'm hoping they have another spat. Scope recommended, it's pretty far down. If it pops out again, the view might be better from the Seacoast parking lot once the sun chills out a little.

The monthly meetings of San Diego Field Ornithologists (SDFO) are currently virtual, open only to members, at 6pm on the third Tuesday of every month.

Two notable on-line resources are available for San Diego birders: the San Diego County Bird Atlas by Phil Unitt (2004) - http://sdplantatlas.org/BirdAtlas/BirdPages.aspx ; and an update of notable records for San Diego County (2002–present), compiled by Paul Lehman - https://bvaudubon.org/birding-resources/ .
