Hi, I am thinking about going to Gilman Park before sunrise and standing around with my big microphone to see if I can capture the bird singing. Has anybody actually heard the bird in full song or at least partial song? My visit yesterday morning produced one call note out of 2 hours of being there, but a whole lot of high quality recording of traffic on the 57 freeway, combined with Red-shouldered Hawks screaming their butts off at each other.
