Quite a few dates area missing from Kern County CBCs. California City has been deleted. Red Rock Canyon, has no date. Bear Valley Springs may or may not happen. Tejon Ranch due to lack of birders has bifurcated their count which doesn't follow the CBC protocol. Hoping to help them rectify this problem for the 26-27 CBC season. Please consider contacting the Tejon Ranch Conservancy to help out on that count. They require birders to sign up well in advance to go through a vetting process with Ranch staff.
If you find anything amiss or know of CBCs that will be held, send me updates, corrections, and any new information you have.
The memorial section is found at the bottom of each year's recap. If you know of anyone who should be included please send along the information. It is sad when birders leave us. Their lives meant something. I want make sure we recognize their lives and contributions to the CBC community.
