Weather: Southeast winds, bringing rain from various direction as the count period progressed, with light precipitation arriving by early afternoon
Raptor Observations: No raptor movement down the ridge throughout the count period, aside from a few individual birds
A single Northern Harrier pumped its way down the south side of the ridge in the final hours before afternoon rain arrived
Non-raptor Observations: Red-bellied Woodpecker 2, Hairy Woodpecker 1, Pileated Woodpecker 2, Common Raven 2, Cedar Waxwing 11, Tufted Titmouse 2, Carolina Chickadee 3, Carolina Wren 1, Eastern Bluebird 4, American Robin 12, Purple Finch 18, American Goldfinch 7, Pine Siskin 1, Dark-eyed Junco 20
Predictions: Following the passage of this cold front, temperatures will plummet and bring northwest winds. High in the mid 40s F with NW winds. This may be the abrupt shift in weather conditions we have been waiting for to usher in the first large movement of Golden Eagles and other late season raptor migrants
