Subject: [hmbirds] northern shrike, round lake preserve
on the 2nd attempt, I was just now able to relocate the immature northern
shrike reported here at round lake preserve a few days ago. At least I
assume it's the same individual.

here's a thumbnail of the encounter, but the bird is clearly moving around
a lot, so much patience/luck needed.

bird flew out across the road from the stream area at the SE corner of the
property. moved among several perches, but perched longest in the hedgerow
jutting out north from the driveway loop. Last seen diving down from that
perch but didn't reappear and couldn't tell what direction it flew.

previous report was from the tree line near the boardwalk entrance.
