Weather: Clear sunny skies for most of the morning with some clouds moving in from the east around noon. Winds mostly NE in the morning, shifting to east and southeast later into the count period, High in upper 50s F
Raptor Observations: The main flight lines throughout the count period were high against a cloudless blue backdrop, with many migrants taking direct north-south lines shooting directly off the ridge over the valley
A second consecutive day of good Red-shouldered Hawk movement down the ridge, as we enter the peak passage time window for this species. A late Osprey moved steadily southwest across the valley to the north of the ridge, passing as a distant speck against the cloudy background while displaying its classic M-shaped silhouette in flight. It is very likely this could be our final Osprey migrant of the fall season given the date
The flight was dominated by Buteo movement, with a few other species moving south throughout the day as well - a total of seven migratory raptor species were documented throughout the count period
First bird RS 9:00 Last bird BE 3:16

Precipitation likely moving in by the evening and lingering into the following day (Thursday). Unclear yet if Thursday will be a count day or not due to potential rain ======================================================================== Report submitted by WG Counter ()
