Subject: [Ohio-birds] RT loon - Caesar creek - Warren county
I chased the loon yesterday late afternoon. No success. I figured it was still
around, that’s a big lake! I went back this mid morning. More appropriately
Dressed….. sorry Robert - it is not warm! Especially with a 20 mph east wind…..
The immature LBBG I had yesterday toward dusk was not there. That’s normal,
They take off to feed somewhere during the day. I love gulls! I hit Cowan lake
Quickly after Ceaser creek. I was enjoying a first fall Herring study!! I like that!
But no Franklins around….. comes up common…… an off year I presume.
Like no shorebirds around Warren county. I did get the pec that was at the beach
Yesterday. It was at the rocky end near the marina. New for the year. 181 for the
Year. Clinton is at 184 for the year.

And yes, I haven’t seen many individuals of some passerines lately. Like YR
Warblers. So maybe a tad warm!

Fall colors - I can’t tell if past or still changing, some trees are bare already.
But the colors around the edge of Cowan Lake were gorgeous!

Good birding all.
