It was a chilly 31 degrees this morning as we started out on our Three Rivers Birding field trip to Salamonie Lake, but it gradually warmed up to 56 degrees, there was no wind, and the birds were nice and active all day long! We didn't see anything really rare, but we did get our FOS Harrier, some nice Bonaparte's Gulls, a flock of Cedar Waxwings drinking water at our feet, some newly arrived Juncos, and a perched Merlin! We finished the day with the following 42 species --- Trip leader: John Winebrenner
