Hi all,
The Tennessee Warbler continues to visit the flowering Eucs (the ones with the pink blossoms) alongside a group of Swinhoe's and an Orange-crowned Warbler (33.7205421, -118.0335729) in the Euc Grove.
In addition, a Clay-colored Sparrow was foraging alongside a small group of White-crowned Sparrows by the northern wall of the Euc Grove (33.7206830, -118.0337362). There are Chipping Sparrows present, and they were fairly aggressive to it, so the CCSP stayed mostly on its own or with the WCSP.
For those that are not familiar with this park, it's quite challenging to chase birds here. First of all, the Euc Grove that is immediately west of Graham St is an unofficial dog park with unleashed dogs and dog meet ups. This is the norm here and an understanding amongst the residents, so please keep that in mind. In addition, a golf course is right across the street and the birds seem to filter into there so trying to figure out the timing of seeing anything in this park requires a mixture of time, patience, and luck, but can be very rewarding with new species popping up this month.
